We’re not going to broach the typical Italian style this time. Words like charisma and elegance are conspicuous by their absence. But sometimes, sometimes it’s not a big deal. In the case of this rousing Lamborghini Huracán Performante, delivered new in Italy, for example. This hardcore supercar is not a star in subtlety, let alone when you paint it in a bright green Verde Mantis paint. On top of that, Lamborghini installed a Style Package, Carbon Package, 20-inch Lightweight wheels including central wheel nut and many more fine extras, especially for this copy. Exorbitant or not, the chemistry is definitely there. Is that chemical green color appropriate again…

It is that the typical Lambo wing-doors are missing, otherwise we would swear that the Lamborghini Huracán Performante would take off spontaneously. Only the 4 matt black colored 20 inch lightweight wheels with Verde Mantis calipers behind them reveal that this is a car. However, mount the huge carbon (!) rear spoiler the other way around and you can be sure that the Lambo goes “airborne”… Oh wait, this is the ‘fixed’ version. Other black accents on the Verde Mantis body are in the form of Gloss Black exterior mirrors, side skirts + air intakes, decorative piece around the double – also black – tailpipes and Performante lettering on the doors.
The front splitter and rear diffuser are made of carbon, as is the “Engine Bay” behind the glass bonnet. The Tricolore striping above the sills meanwhile hints that this is an Italian creation. We can be quite short about the rest of the exterior: it is just as extreme. Just the way the front bumper is styled; isn’t that worthy of Stealth Fighter? The Performante is by far the most hardcore version of the Huracán. Now you also know why.

You will automatically sit well in this Lamborghini Huracán Performante. No unnecessary luxury with 640 hp of 5.2 liter V10 power at your back. The atmospheric 10-cylinder screams with pleasure and so do the occupants, when they exceed 100 km / h from a standstill within 2.9 seconds. To then thunder straight through the sound barrier with a dizzying top speed of 351 km/h… Bizarre! And to think that this super exotic can also be guided through bends at lightning speed. Faster than any other Huracan.
A total of 30 hp more power and 40 kg less weight on the scale than the LP610 version turned out to be not enough. To achieve unprecedented asphalt performance, the minds of Lamborghini have made the car 10% stiffer, completely revised the Magneto-rheological Suspension system (LMS, variable dampers), Dynamic Steering (LDS, variable steering system) further improved and the ALA- system (Aerodinamica Lamborghini Attiva) launched. The latter is said to be 80% lighter than other supercars equipped with regular hydraulic systems. Lamborghini itself says about ALA that it generates 750% more downforce than with the ‘standard’ Huracán. We’re repeating ourselves, but… Bizarre!
