In mid-September 2019, a total of 27 Prins cars left Rotterdam by boat to make the crossing to Great Britain. And “Great” it became!
The Prince Gentlemen Tour will go down in the books as an event that had it all: speed, sensation, relaxation, atmosphere, good food and drink. Yes, we know: in short, we sell ‘normal’ cars (note: no normal cars). However, those who occasionally shift up a gear and pull out all the stops can easily be treated to an adventure that leaves its mark forever. In the positive sense. And sometimes even literally…
All expectations exceeded
We look back on an event that exceeded all expectations. In order to achieve this, the Prins team has had to take quite a few extra steps in recent months – with straight legs. After all, preparation is everything with a fully arranged trip through England. But none of it would have mattered without the participation of our customers. What fun we had together!
The atmosphere was immediately good from the lounge on the boat. After that, we deliberately avoided the crowds for a few days and sought peace – or occasionally disturbed it skillfully (it starts with engine and ends with noise). The typical English back roads in the beautiful, rugged Peak District and the classic British Cotswolds were prey for a whole mountain of Princely horsepower, including a matching symphony orchestra.
We sipped coffee in pubs, sipped a locally brewed ale at lunch and had tea and scones in a beautiful country estate before crashing into characterful country houses. A VIP Tour of the Aston Martin factory gave us a behind-the-scenes look at one of the world’s most legendary car makers. The Prince Gentlemen Tour came full circle thanks to a real VIP arrangement at the always beautiful Goodwood Revival, where we could enjoy all the action on the track completely in vintage style on the reserved Grandstand! What a week!
