Teach them young. As pure petrolheads, we naturally like to translate that into the smell of petrol, the roar of a classic 6-in-line and a true Le Mans legend! So when grandson comes to stay, bring him to school in style! Make memories that last!

About the car:

Jaguar C-Type replica
Year of construction: 1951

While Jaguar is well underway with the continuation of their legendary C-Type, many a coachbuilder has long since been inspired by the Le Mans winning roadster from England. Take Shell Valley for example: the specialist has reportedly been offering the best value for money for years when it comes to supplying C-Type Replica body kits. The former owner never liked imitation models, but he happily made an exception for this Jaguar C-Type in 2006. In fact, he gave up his 911 dream for it!
This ultra beautiful Jaguar C-Type Replica, built by the American Shell Valley, is a first-class beauty – both optically and technically. That’s how she sounds! The experience of this manual (!) version is of an inimitable level. In short, that will be flames… Literally. Check out the spectacular sidepipes in the dark!

Shell Valley’s Jaguar C-Type distinguishes itself from other C-Type Replicas through highly realistic body proportions and the excellent quality of the aerodynamically state-of-the-art body. The roadster body is reinforced with fiberglass and mounted directly to the frame for the perfect fit. The bodywork is delivered including a beautiful gelcoat finish. Important stress points are equipped with Kevlar and steel, so that the C-Type not only makes a very beautiful, but also a very strong impression.
We get extra nostalgic feelings when we see the knock-off wire wheels and the “British Racing Green” paintwork including start number 17 with white background on the sides. We personally love the ceramic-chrome sidepipes, brown “Tanned” leather seats with “Heavy Duty” belts, windshields type “Brooklands” and the 4-spoke wooden “Moto Lita” steering wheel. Only the smell of gasoline is missing…

Tip: fire up the Jaguar 4.2 liter 6-cylinder in-line engine, mounted in Nebraska, including modified cylinder head plus 3 Weber carburetors, and the party can really begin! The C-Type Recreation growls, roars, hums and bangs violently. Especially with gas loose; the former owner had the carburetors adjusted in such a way that the sidepipes at high revs literally sound like fireworks. This fire is also clearly visible in a dark environment – just like a real Le Mans racer! The experience this evokes is almost indescribable.

That the American creation can be taken seriously is evident from the year of construction of the original chassis: September 1951. Indeed, the year in which Jaguar, thanks to the unique qualities of the C-Type, continued to win the 24 Hours of Le man. Shell Valley built the body in 2006, and was later bought by the former Belgian owner: a petrolhead pur sang! That this gentleman is willing to go far for his car love, is evident from the photo we received from him. This shows that his kitchen at home borders on the ‘garage’ containing – at the time – a Porsche 964: a childhood dream. The most beautiful? Kitchen and garage are only separated by a large glass wall, so that he always had a view of it while cooking and/or preparing a cup of coffee.
So the classic Porsche 911 had a central place in his house, but the C-Type gradually got a central place in his heart. As a result, choices had to be made. After thoroughly studying the world of C-Type Replicas, he found the ideal supplier: Shell Valley. As madly in love as he fell on the Jaguar C-Type, he is currently a special fan of the Ferrari 456 GT on which he traded in both the C-Type and a BMW 850 youngtimer with us. Once a petrolhead…
