Leaving the car export to us means you take many advantages: thanks to years of experience, we know exactly what’s necessary when it comes to export documentation and worldwide transport. Please note: you do have to register the car in the country of destination by yourself. However, of course we will provide you with the correct documents to avoid any administrative struggles. Prins provides a KFZ with the car. The Kraftfahrzeugbrief (KFZ) is actually the common German license plate. This is the most common way to export a car because in this way we manage the BPM refund ourselves and a KFZ is accepted in every EU country. When we sell a car for export with a Dutch registration number, we are depending on the buyer to provide us with a copy of the foreign registration within 13 weeks so that we can reclaim the remaining BPM. The KFZ contains only documents, there is no temporary registration number.
The export declaration is a document which is issued when a vehicle is registered for export. If you want to be able to register the car in the country of destination, you need the export declaration in combination with a registration card.
On request, we can arrange insurance and temporary license plates for you to drive the car to the desired location. Please note: these license plates are only approved for driving directly to the destination once. Hereafter they will expire and the plates are unusable.
Including plates and insurance. Are you looking for a nice way to spend the time between export and registration? Prins arranges a temporary (21-day) Austrian license including plates and insurance, in order to make the car ready for use while the new destination is waiting for you. That way you can fully enjoy your car even before registration in the country of export!
Technischer Überwachungsverein. Germans are well-known for their punctuality. The famous German inspection called TÜV may be the perfect example. If you wish, we can organize a TÜV inspection for your car right away. By German standards, of course.
Closed trailer, in Europe and beyond. We have the European roads in our pocket, but at Prins we also like to offer you the opportunity to organize transportation overseas, to America or other continents. In addition to our own drivers and closed trailer, we have a whole network of skilled and experienced partners to arrange intercontinental transport for you or ourselves.
