Prologue

“The most beautiful car ever made”.

Jaguar E-Type Series 1 Fixed-Head Coupé 3.8 Opalescent Golden Sand

“The most beautiful car ever made”. These are the legendary words of a legendary man: Enzo Ferrari. Words that were not about one of his famous creations, but about an important competitor: the Jaguar E-Type. A bold statement. However, if anyone knew about it, it was Mr. Ferrari.
And speaking of beauty, what could be more beautiful than the original? Its name says it all: this peerless Jaguar E-Type Series 1 Fixed-Head Coupé 3.8 from 1964 descends from the first series of the famous model. A true gem of a car, with full matching numbers and an unparalleled amount of British charisma. Truly unprecedented, as sublimely beautiful and sleek as this unique specimen is!

Condition
The overall condition of this beautiful coupe is as it looks: phenomenal. No expense has been spared to get the car into the excellent condition it is in now. The restoration was carried out on Dutch premises and solely by well-known names from the classic car world, under the watchful eye of the former Dutch owner: a perfectionist par excellence, with a big car heart and an enormous soft spot for the charms of this shiny E-Type.
Oldtimer Service Eastend in Uithuizen is responsible for the sheet metal and spray work. The gearbox was overhauled by Von Münching Import: the specialist in the field of transmissions of British icons of yesteryear. The engine overhaul was carried out by De Boer in Sneek, after which classic guru Eastend also looked at the adjustment of the power source. Stenger Jaguar Service in Almelo carried out an update on the differential. The wheels come from wheel specialist JVD Wheels from Uithuizen. Jaguar enthusiast and restorer Koos van Schepen left his mark on the famous coupe by largely – and with a lot of love – taking care of the construction. Finally, the finish: for this the Jag once again went back to the experts at Eastend.
As many original parts as possible were used and applied for the restoration, mainly supplied by SNG Barratt: ‘The Ultimate Jaguar Parts Specialist’ from Oisterwijk. Where necessary, the E-Type is equipped with upgrades to make the car perform better in the field.

History
That is at least as impressive as that of the classy Brit is, it is in the history. For the most part of its existence, has brought the way in the usa. The E-Type from the year 1963 and it went to the first of the name on may 22, 1964 at the Us capitol, produced by Jaguar Cars of New York city. That was 9 days in the car, and the factory had to be abandoned. This is one of the most recently built the Series 1 3.8-litre engine. The original owner was a man, who was born and raised in New Jersey, usa. We have it from reliable sources, but that the man in question, has now become the respected age of 90 years old and resides in the North Mountain, located on the Hudson River.
The last of Us the owner was a lawyer in Whiteville, a town in the southeastern state of North Carolina. He had been in the possession of the Jaguar in the period 1991 to August 2007. After that, he returned to the classic, go back to nyc, and she was in the hands of the classic car specialist Gullwing Motor Cars in Astoria. At that time, the mijlenteller the number of 13.689 again. Hardly less than that of the figures on the dashboard, there are. In 2008, he left for the E-Type, and the United States of america, and crossed the pacific Ocean on a large-scale restoration project. The Dutchman’s car and it took her a second lease of life given to it, was an avid car enthusiast and was working on for the David’s Heart in the Group (DHG). At the time, transport was in the car is red in color.
The first Dutch owner intended to embark on a thorough restoration adventure with the FHC, but was unable to get the project off the ground due to busy work and his family. In 2010, the former owner, also Dutch, came into the picture. He did what his predecessor had failed to do. In 2018 we sold this beauty to its last owner, a collector par excellence.

Design
The Jaguar E-Type is one of the world’s greatest legends and most desirable icons from the rich history of the automobile, and is perhaps the most prized classic of all time. The brilliantly styled sports car owes its immense popularity largely to its eye-catching lines. Original from the factory or not, the champagne-colored Opalescent Golden Sand Metallic paintwork brings out the best in the timelessly designed body. Moreover, it is an original Jaguar shade, produced from ’62-’68.
This, in combination with the super stylish carriage, praised for its long nose, relatively upright windshield and cabin set far back, makes this example an unsurpassed masterpiece. ‘The most beautiful car ever made’. If only the Italian master had seen it right…
