The Ferrari Testarossa: who hasn’t had a poster of it? The Testarossa has been the common thread in Ferrari history since the mid-1980s. No model from Maranello is as famous as this one! The ultimate childhood dream on wheels has lived on for several generations. At Prins we also have a soft spot for the Testarossa. In particular for this bright red copy with beige leather and only 21,273 km of experience, which is in excellent condition…!

History
Sometimes, just sometimes, you come across something that doesn’t seem perfect on paper, but turns out to be perfect in practice. The Ferrari Testarossa on your screen is such a car. The history is largely missing until the moment we got our hands on the iconic 12-cylinder in 2014. After the car was delivered in Italy in 1991 by official dealer Lightspeed SRL, the car was used sporadically. This is reflected in the papers from 1997, when it was imported into Germany with only 15,800 kilometers. 2 years later, in 1999, the same owner had the car suspended. In those 2 years, the mileage increased to only 18,664 kilometers…
That is why we changed tack in 2014 (mileage: 20,339) and added this Testarossa to the collection. Why? Simple: we rarely come across a Testarossa in the condition we found it. Truly a beauty of a car! And so the Italian beauty left us no choice: we took over the classic and carried out extensive technical maintenance, including a new timing belt.

A friend of Prins from Sweden saw what we also saw: a beautiful Ferrari, which deserves a nice spot! The owner made sure that Scandinavia glowed red in the years that followed. The Testarossa has been cherished, as befits a car of this special caliber.
In 2020 (mileage: 21,205) he gave us the honor of finding a new owner for this Testarossa. Prior to delivery, we provided the car with major maintenance including a new belt.

That lucky buyer/collector decides to say goodbye to it now, in 2024. This is because he only drove it 68 kilometers in 4 years. Will you use the Testarossa again for what it was made for? Or do you value the Testarossa and put it aside as an investment? This car is perfect for both purposes.

Interior & exterior
The Testarossa is one of the most characteristic models we have ever seen from Maranello. In fact, no classic symbolizes the term ‘sports car’ as powerfully as this one! The flanks are flowing, the corners are angular and the distinctive character is extremely great. The most striking ‘details’ are the wide tapering rear, fins in the doors, black slats over the taillights and of course the super sporty looks that look more like a hardcore supercar than a lightning-fast GT – because that is what the Testarossa actually is.
The beautiful, spotless Rosso Corsa paintwork further emphasizes the name and fame of this Ferrari; After all, ‘Testarossa’ refers to the red valve cover of the V12 engine. That same red glow is reflected in the floor… How beautiful! At least as striking, however, is the combination of beige and brown leather interior upholstery. And above all: the impeccable condition it is in!

Technology & performance
Ferrari installed 12 cylinders lengthwise at the rear at a flat angle of 180 degrees. The legendary Ferrari V12 produces an impressive power of 390 hp and effortlessly awakens every dormant boyhood dream. The sound and dynamics have a good sense of drama! And then to know that the weight also goes towards the rear: the distribution is 40/60, so no complaints about the driving experience! Who spontaneously starts the Testarossa fire burning (again)?
