In Italy, they know how to improve something that’s already perfect. Take this splendid Ferrari 575M Maranello for instance: a classic V12-powered beauty that drove its first kilometers in Germany and is full of much wanted options like a Fiorano Handling Package and Daytona Style seats. Even a Roll-Bar is included, which says a lot about the performance of the modified Maranello. So don’t forget to bring your helmet when you visit the Netherlands!
Exterior
You’d rather like to show off with your new haircut? Good for you: the Ferrari 575M Maranello F1 on your screen suits the public roads very well too. Besides, with its classic GT lookalike configuration and timeless Grigio Titanio bodywork it also matches beautiful locations such as a modernized country house. And you always arrive in style, referring to the 19-inch 5-spoke Modular design wheels, Rosso brake calipers, characteristic long bonnet and Scuderia Ferrari Shields on the sides. The distinguished grey paintwork is a nice bonus, since the 575M is already a very graceful looking supercar.
Interior
The Nero leather upholstered Ferrari 575M Maranello interior has only 2 seats, but they are Daytona Style. The legendary pattern takes you back to the 70s, while the 2-seater configuration emphasizes that the Gran Turismo design is an optical illusion. However, if we look beyond the long Ferrari nose, the beautifully wrapped fire extinguisher and Roll-Bar give a clear view of the true potential. The Nero leather finish is even extended to the rear deck, while the Rosso piping reflects the DNA of this Ferrari classic. Seen enough? Time to give the perforated aluminum sport pedals and shift paddles a push!
Options & extras
Yes, we can appreciate any upgrade on the 575M Maranello. However, the addition of the Fiorano Handling Package makes it the fantastic driver’s car it should be. The “Ferrari fun package” consists lowered and stiffer springs, a thicker anti-roll bar, improved brake pads and adjustments to the wheel geometry. It’s a good thing that a Becker navigation system is included, because with so much driving fun you’re bound to take unfamiliar roads…
Technique & performance
The way Ferrari translates their technology into model names changes regularly, but the 575M Maranello is very simple to explain: the total capacity of the naturally aspirated Ferrari V12 increased from 5.5 to 5.75 liters. The letter "M" is short for Modificata or "Modified" and Maranello refers to the factory where this beauty was constructed. More striking is the addition "F1": predecessor 550 didn’t have that option. The semi-automatic transmission supports the 0-100 km/h acceleration time of only 4.3 seconds. The top speed of 325 km/h is also an improvement over the original. However, the reason you want to go for this magic Maranello is largely because of the Fiorano Handling package. We don’t need to explain where that name comes from…
