Weinig auto’s zo karaktervol als de klassieke Alfa Romeo GTV 2000. Een dergelijke legende op wielen verdient het om gezien te worden. En dan niet alleen op autoshows. Uw voorgangers dachten er net zo over. Het resultaat is dat de Alfa klassieker technisch in orde is en goed rijdt. Het concours zal de GTV 2000 daarentegen niet winnen, maar wél vele autoharten. Want tsja, met zo’n elegant (Bertone!) design steel je natuurlijk altijd de show. Ongeacht het gezelschap en de locatie. Wie wil dat ook eens ervaren?

Alfa Romeo GTV 2000

Only a few cars have a character as pure as the legendary Alfa Romeo GTV 2000. It’s the kind of classic that deserves to be seen. And not just at car shows. The former owners thought the same way. That’s why this GTV 2000 is technically in good shape and drives very well too. The price you pay for this? It won’t beat the competition at today’s classic car shows. However, it will win many car hearts on the public streets instead. Because with such an elegant (Bertone!) design you’ll always steal the show. Period. Who likes to experience that?

History
Prins’ GT Veloce is simply too pure to feel the desire to compete at any concours. Feel free to take this as a compliment, because the silver bodywork is full of originality. The metallic lacquer has been reapplied at the beginning of this millennium already. As a result, the overall condition can be called neat. Special thanks go out to the former owner: he overhauled the Alfa 2000 GTV after its purchase in 2001. Also technically. That’s exactly how this pure driver’s car has remained a pure driver’s car. Will you soon take over the wheel?

Exterior
The Alfa GT and GT 2000 Veloce meant Bertone’s ticket to the list of all-time Italian masters. Since these characteristic coupes appeared on the market, the famous designer has a special place in our car hearts. The shape is quite angular, but no less timeless. Especially in metallic silver, the sporty bodywork has an elegant touch. No mortal can ignore the straight cut front and back of the classic. The GTV 2000 also distinguishes itself by a set of double round headlights on both sides. They are connected to each other via 8 chrome bars. Furthermore, the 5-spoke star design wheels give a nice glimpse of next generation Italian beauties.

Interior
A warm welcome awaits you after trying the Nero leather seats. The gigantic wooden 3-spoke steering wheel shows some traces of use, which tells us we’re sitting in a proper driver’s car. In addition, the Alfa Romeo 2000 GT Veloce also has a wooden finish on the dashboard and center / tunnel console. Toggle switches and analog instruments in tubes are 100% classic Alfa. Kenwood’s aftermarket radio/CD player confirms time really hasn’t stood still. As much as some Alfisiti would like to see differently…

Technique & performance
When we say this Alfa Romeo 2000 GT Veloce’s driving character matches the way it looks, we mean it’s a no-nonsense machine that doesn’t know how quickly it has to leave concours winners behind in terms of style.
