After 37 (!) years, the Dutch owner of this originally Dutch delivered Alfa Romeo GT 1600 Junior with 2.0 liter engine upgrade + GTA look,gave his legacy to a family member. The death of the genuine Alfist meant the end of the world’s greatest love and care for the Alfa GT Junior. Something the car really deserves. That’s why the pleasure is ours to offer this unique classic for sale for the first time in 40 years. The new owner also gets all classic registration certificates plus a few invoices, just to make sure this piece of Italian art is just as impressive on paper, as it is in real life.

History
‘Until death do us part’. Officially it may not be called a marriage, but the man who drove this truly gorgeous, 100% Dutch Alfa Romeo GT 1600 / 2000 for 37 years indeed made a pair with his car. The love story started in ’84 and continued like forever. Faithful as the owner was, he never got tempted by other stunning things on 4 wheels. Which isunderstandable, because the Italian beauty is a feast for the eyes! As a member of the Alfa Romeo enthusiasts association in the Netherlands, he shared his blue pride with the right audience. In addition to the car itself, a whole stack of paperwork was handed over to the surviving relative. Including numerous classic registration certificates and invoices. Since the 1600 Junior was equipped with 2000 power, only 14,000 kilometers have been driven. Too little as far as we’re concerned! So we kindly ask you to do something about it…

Exterior
When you say Bertone, you say art. And when you say art, you say Alfa Romeo. In that respect, the Alfa GT is a next level experience; a real masterpiece, drawn by one of the most famous designers in the world. Which he is for a reason. The Italian gave it everything for his first major project, resulting in eternal fame and a future classic. The 60s style icon is characterized by striking and powerful lines with a straight front and slender back. The GT 1600 Junior is a later version that had to fill the gap between the 1300 and 2000 GTV. Our specific car closed that gap after installing a 2000 engine. The appearance of the Alfa also changed: the GTA-lookalike exterior details are as exciting as they are tastefully chosen. By disassembling the bumpers and mounting highly desirable Ronal wheels, the historic sportiness of our Azzurro Le Mans painted GT Junior is emphasized in style. What a (bright blue) machine! Also note the golden badges on the C-pillars and typical GTA license plate holder at the rear. Just wow!

Interior
Timeless beauty has no limit. Lucky for you, the classic Alfa Romeo 1600/2000 GT Junior shows endless charms on the inside as well. Seats and doors are covered with Tan leather. The super chic brown upholstery is in good company thanks toa wooden dashboard finish plus steering wheel and gear shift. The cockpit is completely intact and even has an original Diplomat radio; very vintage and, above all, period correct! The overall condition is incredibly nice and really inviting to take place in. That’s a good thing, because driving the GTA-styled Junior is an absolute blast!

Technique
Start the 2.0 liter 4-cylinder Twin Cam engine from the 2000 GTV and relive the 60s! The characteristic, diagonally placed exhaust pipe makes the original Alfa Romeo GT Junior sound like an iconic sports coupe should sound.
