Verrassenderwijs staat het de 557 pk (!) sterke Competition versie van de wonderschone AMG GT echter waanzinnig goed. En dan te bedenken dat het lederen interieur daarbovenop een exclusief bicolor uitrusting heeft. Poeh! Erg dapper allemaal. Gelukkig wordt lef in dit geval dubbel en dwars beloond, want de open 2-zitter ligt toch een partij lekker op het netvlies! De verdere aankleding is ook erg fijn en allerminst voor de hand liggend: AMG Performance Seats, een carbon interieur, memory pakket, achterasbesturing, LED-koplampen en AMG Dynamic Plus. Het moge duidelijk zijn: deze GT C Roadster barst van de originaliteit. En vanaf vandaag kunt u over niets anders meer fantaseren dan een zomerse dag zo mooi als de absolute ster onder de AMG GT’s. With almost absolute certainty, you wouldn’t have conceived the Benz in this configuration yourself. Surprisingly, the 557 hp (!) potent Competition version of the gorgeous AMG GT looks incredibly good in it. And to think that the leather interior on top of that has an exclusive bicolor finish. Wow! Quite daring overall. Fortunately, courage is doubly rewarded in this case because the open 2-seater is truly captivating! The further embellishment is also very pleasing and anything but obvious: AMG Performance Seats, a carbon interior, memory package, rear-wheel steering, LED headlights, and AMG Dynamic Plus. It is clear: this GT C Roadster is bursting with originality. And from today, you can fantasize about nothing else but a summer day as beautiful as the absolute star among the AMG GTs. Exterior:
There will always be people who avoid a Solarbeam Yellow Mercedes. A missed opportunity for them, as the unique pearl paint is truly captivating. This is due, among other things, to the softness of the vibrant color. That may sound contradictory, but the shade is intense without being too bright. Moreover, the pearl effect means that the nuance strongly depends on the light, and the body remains exciting in all conditions. Although, for the latter, an exciting color is not even necessary because the design of the Mercedes-Benz AMG GT C Roadster is truly beautiful from all angles. It’s almost un-German to say this, coming from specialists in Italian + British sports cars… To give the sporty car heart an extra boost, the calipers behind the polished 20-inch Y-spoke AMG-design wheels are executed in fiery red. Black exterior details might have been a logical choice at first glance, but nothing is logical about this roadster until you see the result. Admit it: the chrome grille, door sills, and exhaust tips are brilliantly chosen in combination with the sunny body?
Interior:
Connoisseurs who fear a bright cockpit composition can breathe a sigh of relief. To provide the right balance to the beauty of this star among German sports cars, the original owner opted for a relatively calm interior dressing. Nevertheless, the black/gray bicolor leather on board the Benz is quite exclusive. Among other things, the extremely wide center/tunnel console, middle parts of the doors, the lower part of the dashboard, and the central parts of the Performance Seats are executed in gray. The rest is predominantly black leather, with the exception of the alcantara steering wheel and the many aluminum accents inside the Mercedes AMG GT C Roadster. The most important of these is the "bridge" where, among other things, the start button is located. The operation of the automatic transmission is, in turn, surrounded by expensive carbon fiber. Options & Extras:
As we are used to from the star from Stuttgart, this Mercedes also does everything to make the occupants as comfortable as possible. The beautiful AMG Performance Seats not only provide perfect support but are also both heatable and coolable. Furthermore, the electric adjustment of the driver’s seat can be stored in memory. Other settings stored by the memory package include the desired position of the electric steering column and the mirror. Just as the sport seats keep you in place, the rear-wheel steering keeps the car in check. Meanwhile, the AMG Dynamic Plus package sharpens things up: the GT C Roadster becomes tighter and sportier to drive. Furthermore, the backup camera and LED headlights provide maximum visibility. Whether you prefer to park calmly or have your eyes on the road and just go, both are only a matter of time.
Technology & Performance:
Such a long elegant nose is excellent for fitting a lot of cylinders. In this case, 8 pieces in a V-shape supplemented by 2 turbos for a tire-smoking power of 557 hp and a whopping 680 Nm of torque. AMG’s turbo power benefits both the sound and the performance: growling and roaring, the acceleration from 0 to 100 km/h is done within 3.7 seconds. The increasing sound level effortlessly penetrates the interior with the top down behind the Performance seats. That is perhaps reason number one to fall for the Roadster version. The powerful Competition only drives the rear wheels, which in turn are coupled to a delightful 7-speed automatic. A top speed of 316 km/h is certainly possible in the highest gear. Much less is needed to forever embrace the double-blown V8 from the open GT C in your beating car heart. Especially if you love British or Italian cars…
