F1 for the Street: This brand-new (!), available from stock Maserati MC20 Cielo is powered by 630 hp of Nettuno power, derived from Formula 1! The groundbreaking technology makes it phenomenal, but the very limited availability and brilliant composition make this specimen absolutely unique! The MC20 is already a gem of a machine on its own. However, this open-top version truly surpasses everything. Pay attention to details like the panoramic glass that can be darkened with a single button press, transforming the Cielo into a closed supercar in no time. In addition, the carbon fiber monocoque houses heated sport seats, alcantara upholstery, and a package of matte carbon elements. The ceramic brakes must somewhat control the brand-new, highly advanced V6 twin-turbo Nettuno powers when you storm towards a corner at a top speed of 325 km/h. Furthermore, the option list includes various other must-haves for the racers (in the making) among us, such as the ADAS Pack and an electronic limited-slip differential. A Front Lift system, Blind Spot Alert, 360-degree camera, and Sonus Faber audio make the open 2-seater racer remarkably forgiving. Have you always dreamed of a Formula 1 experience? A street car doesn’t come much closer…
Exterior:
Technically, the MC20 – and especially the Cielo – is an absolute first. But on the outside, the Maserati also shows traits not seen on its models before. This is the very first trident in the rich history of the iconic sports car manufacturer with gullwing doors. Butterfly doors to be precise, recognizable by the doors opening upwards and sideways. Just like with the Ferrari derivatives, the open-top MC20 Cielo in profile is a targa due to the body line that extends to the roll bars. The space in between is open, giving occupants the chance to hear the twin-turbocharged V6 in the rear even better. Furthermore, it’s impressive how the Italians have seamlessly integrated the extraterrestrial aerodynamics into the beauty of this exotic supercar. Cast in Grigio Mistero, the Maserati MC20 Cielo body appears extremely pure and uncompromising without becoming flashy. It’s truly fantastic how all this is paired with the beautiful 20-inch Corsa Forged Matte wheels, dark exhaust tips, and Giallo brake calipers. Wow. Wow. And wow again!
Interior:
Open the wing doors and automatically get a clear view of the carbon fiber monocoque. As racy as the configuration is, so stylish is the interior of the MC20 Cielo cockpit. Emphasizing on ‘cockpit’. Inside, you’ll find a unique combination of black leather sport seats with alcantara seat surfaces + backrests, carbon inserts, and Giallo stitching + logos. Wow. Also, mightily beautiful are the Matte Carbon finish of the half alcantara / half carbon fiber steering wheel, the shift paddles, the cover of the digital instrument panel, and the front part of the central console. The sides (including knee pads) and the armrest behind them are in alcantara and feature Giallo contrast stitching. The same applies to the doors, while the leather upper part of the dashboard also has a yellow finish, in contrast to the alcantara underside. When we say Extended Alcantara, we really mean "Extended," up to the headliner and rear wall. Bellissima!
Options & Extras:
Fully in line with the luxurious styling of the Extended Alcantara interior with a Matte Carbon package, the other original factory options are noteworthy. Our brand-new Maserati MC20 Cielo includes a Front Lift system, panoramic roof, electrically operated + heated sport seats, a 360-degree camera, and Sonus Faber sound system. Ideal for a relaxing day of touring or cruising along boulevards in the city center. But the real music, of course, comes from the compelling 6-cylinder in the back. Hence, the first owner will undoubtedly attach extra value to Maserati’s Advanced Driver Assistance Systems – abbreviated as ADAS Pack. The innovative driver assistance systems are supported by an electronic limited-slip differential and ceramic brakes for when things get rough. This stunning Italian wants nothing to do with fading!
Technology & Performance:
The configuration of the new powerplant is truly beautiful. Maserati calls the 3.0-liter twin-turbo V6 "Nettuno." There is no lie in that because the 6-cylinder genuinely seems beautiful. It features a V90° architecture and a real dry-sump system applied à la Formula 1. It totals to 630 hp and 730 Nm of torque. Translated, this is 210 hp per liter… Bizarre figures that result in equally bizarre performances: accelerating from 0 to 100 km/h can be done within 3 seconds. This makes the MC20 Cielo almost as fast as a Ferrari F8 Spider with a V8. Furthermore, Maserati kept the weight limited to only 1,540 kg, and the open supercar has to propel no more than 2.44 kg per hp to a top speed of 320 km/h. In short, if you’re not already blown away by the brilliant aesthetics of this new masterpiece from la bella Italia, you will be by the overwhelming tecnologia!
Best regards,
Team Prins.
