Exterior

It’s almost impossible for the owner of a Ferrari 812 GTS to go through life incognito. However, adding an elegant accent to the semi-open supercar is no problem at all. The proof is right in front of you: in Nero Daytona, the aerodynamically extremely advanced Ferrari shows its most chic and understated side. But this doesn’t alter the fact that our black purebred horse is a real eye-catcher with all its remarkable curves and openings. Details such as Rosso brake calipers and Scuderia Ferrari Shields underline the fact that the 812 GTS is actually a racer, legalized for the public streets. The 20-inch Forged Diamond wheels are almost too beautiful for track use though. Interior

Fully electrically adjustable seats find the perfect position behind the carbon steering wheel in a blink of an eye. The LED lights at the top provide a clear indication of the ideal moments to change gears. And otherwise the Giallo rev-counter is a beautiful reminder. Clicking the Carbon Shift Paddle is all it takes to move up or down a gear. It’s part of the optional Carbon Driver Zone including LED Shift Indicator. Thanks to the Carbon Central Bridge, the racy ambiance is right in the middle of the cockpit. In addition to all the carbon fiber, there’s even more darkness: the leather finish is fully Nero. But what’s a Ferrari without red accents? Rosso stitching and Cavallino’s in the headrests make the petrol flow through the veins at top speed. The red ventilation outlets show you the Italian side of the 812 GTS; it’s a super stylish supercar.

Options & extras

Can’t handle all the attention from the outside? The Surround View Camera keeps an extra eye on the environment. Adaptive Headlights with SBL function also provide the clearest possible image of the surroundings in the dark. Speedbumps won’t kill you when the Suspension Lifter does it’s work properly. However, the Ferrari 812 GTS has an option list to die for: Advanced Driver Assistance System (Full ADAS) intervenes if it threatens to become potentially dangerous for man and machine. Technique & performance

Whoever makes an attempt to tame 800 (!) prancing horses will see the adrenaline level go right through the ceiling. Driver and passenger can both observe with their own eyes that accelerating from 0 to 100 km/h takes no more than 3 seconds. The 7-speed automatic transmission allows speeds that are higher than 3x the permitted speed in the Netherlands. Hardly touching the top of 340 km/h? Just rely on the explosive power of the 6.5 liter Ferrari V12. Good luck trying to accelerate out of a corner without leaving some extra rubber behind. While the Ferrari 812 GTS is wagging its tail, you immediately get encouraged to keep your foot down thanks to the atmospheric character of the 12-cylinder – including matching symphony.
