A passion must never feel like a punishment. Yes, this extraordinary Alfa Romeo Spider 1.6 Type 4 is extremely valuable, but not quite expensive. So here you are, classic car fan, able to buy yourself a genuine dream car. And a unique one too! A 1.6 liter version with double Weber carburetors. Besides, the Alfa Spider on your screen has had only 2 owners and was delivered to the first one in Germany. All documents and history are included. This is how passion should feel like… And it certainly looks good!
Exterior
Since we’re talking about a Spider Type 4 with the new bumpers painted in body color, the Rosso lacquer is even more intense. The new designed rear light units are literally new, because they were replaced recently, just like the black soft-top. All 4 Spider series are beauties, of course. But their predecessor is too: the Giulietta Spider. Just to show you how long Pininfarina is already designing Alfa legends without a roof. And they all have the same charms and classy details like round headlights and an extremely slender body shape. Lucky you, our version has a stunning condition as well!
Interior
Inside, the beige leather seats look like new, simply because they are. But also the other beige + black parts inside the 2-seater convertible are in perfect shape. The wooden gear knob and steering wheel with their aluminum spokes, symbolize the classy DNA of the Alfa Romeo Spider. Sporty, but classy. What a true Italian masterpiece this is…
Technique
An Alfa Spider Series 4 1600 doesn’t ring a bell? There’s nothing strange about that, since the combination is quite unique. The 1.6 liter 4-cylinder engine has double Weber carbs and produces 108 PS. The fact it’s a version with rear wheel drive could be more special than you think: after Alfa Romeo stopped the production of the Spider Type 4, it would take almost 15 years before the next RWD model was introduced by the Italians: the legendary Alfa Romeo 8C. But we guess you’ve been waiting long enough now. Time to drive your next dream car! See you soon in Holland.
Cordiali Saluti,
Prins Classics.
