Wise words from Alfisti and purists Fetze and Lucie, the former owners of this beautiful 1960 Alfa Romeo Giulietta Sprint. And enjoy it they did! Trading it in after 22 years was a tough decision in 2020, but its successor, the Alfa 4C 1750 TBi, softened the blow with flair. Rosso flair. And so, the Giulietta Sprint remained at Prins. However, this Italian beauty will never truly be abandoned; its overall condition is simply too stunning for that. It was quickly sold to an enthusiast from the region. Now, nearly five years later, we have the privilege of offering this Sprint once again.
A dream car, no doubt about it. Delivered new on May 5, 1960, in beautiful Padua, Italy, before making its way to the Netherlands. The Sprint has always been well-maintained, has undergone a complete engine overhaul, and is a true driver’s car. Since 2006, it has been equipped with a five-speed gearbox, allowing it to keep up surprisingly well with modern traffic. The previous owners regularly took it on road trips, creating countless memories in England, Germany, Italy, and, of course, through scenic tours in their home country. Technically, the car has been pampered; even leftover holiday money was spent on maintenance during the return journey from Italy. If that’s not the definition of an enthusiast’s car, what is? On King’s Day 2020, another chapter was written when Fetze and Lucie drove off in a future classic, the Alfa 4C in Rosso Competizione, and bid farewell to *their* Sprint in the best way possible. For the past five years, the car has been in the hands of an enthusiast in the Veluwe region, and now we are searching for its next caretaker.
All the love and attention this Alfa Giulietta has received is partly due to the irresistible charm of the coupé. The curves of its bodywork are more graceful than graceful. The lines more timeless than timeless. Italian elegance radiates from every angle. In short, a stylish little gem. We have given the Rosso Alfa body a fresh shine, literally and figuratively polishing up its beauty. The interior remains as crisp and characterful as ever.
Beneath the surface, the condition is just as impressive: the 1,290 cc four-cylinder Twin Cam engine sounds, smells, and feels exactly as you’d expect from a classic Alfa Romeo. What an experience!
Best regards,
Prins Classics.
