History
The Giulietta Sprint is one of the most stunning creations in Alfa Romeo history. Design legend Bertone is responsible for the timeless masterpiece. Looking at the curvy and classy shape, it was only a matter of time before the super stylish 2+2 Coupé became a genuine classic. In addition to a 2-door bodywork, the Giulietta was also offered as a 4-door Berlina plus a Spider version. Every Giulietta gets car enthusiasts moving. But this Sprint really does literally since the standard 1300 engine was replaced by a fully overhauled 1750 Twin Cam 4-cylinder. It matches the rest of the history, as the interior and exterior were restored entirely too. However, many original details were retained, so the mix between a contest winning condition and pure authenticity makes the Alfa Giulietta Sprint truly unique.
Exterior
The repainted silver bodywork is incredibly sleek, while the chrome bumpers, for example, have never been renewed. This is how the fact that the Alfa Romeo Giulietta Sprint has been taken care of great all these years, becomes very clear. The styling itself also deserves a deep bow, because Bertone’s apprentice, Franco Scaglione, put a classic in the making on paper. The smooth curves, characteristic round headlights, iconic Alfa grille and aerodynamic roofline; it’s just right and makes the Sprint the desirable macchina that it still is 70 years after its introduction. Just wow.
Interior
Anyone who steps into the world of Alfa Romeo will discover a world of style and passion. Step into our Giulietta Sprint and you will be blown away by pure class, For example, note the analogue gauges and meters in pyramid set-up. Or how about the chrome ashtray in the middle of the dashboard, which remained completely untouched? The greater is the contrast with the new Rosso / Grigio bicolore leather upholstery. Even the carpets are bright red! Somehow the Italians get away with these sort of color combination every single time. We even sense some disappointment among Alfisti when an Alfa classic has an entirely black cockpit…
Technique
Far from standard is also the engine compartment: there’s no 1290 cc engine lying in front of this Alfa Romeo Giulietta Sprint. Instead, a 1750 4-cylinder with Twin Cam technology has been installed, famous for its qualities in the Giulia Sprint GTV. The legendary Alfa engine has been completely overhauled. A nice side effect is that our classic coupe has improved in terms of horsepower too. Yet another reason not to store this true treasure on wheels behind closed doors all day, every day.
