Prologue

Alfa Romeo Alfetta GTV Delta 2.0 Rosso Alfa

Impressive Alfetta: this is a uniquely beautiful Alfa Romeo GTV Delta from the original Alfetta series! This stunning Delta 2.0 – not to be confused with the later Turbodelta – owes its name to a series of stylish modifications and is a direct reference to Alfa Romeo’s motorsport partner, Autodelta. The color scheme is also special: as familiar as the red paint is, the blue Delta interior is just as surprising. This, and much more, makes our Alfetta a true collector’s item and an absolute must-have for classic Alfisti enthusiasts!

History
The Alfa Romeo Alfetta went into production in 1972, initially as a 4-door sedan, and from 1974 as a 2-door fastback coupé. The design of the latter is attributed to Giorgetto Giugiaro – who was working for Italdesign at the time – and is one of the strongest characteristics of this iconic Alfa classic. The fastback coupé was known as the Alfetta GT and Alfetta GTV, with the “V” standing for “Veloce.” In 1980, the Alfetta name was dropped, coinciding with the introduction of the facelifted model. The rare, limited-edition Alfetta GTV Delta provided a preview of the restyling by implementing both visual and technical modifications. For these adjustments, Alfa Romeo drew inspiration from its partnership with Autodelta, with which the brand had previously achieved great success in motorsports. The Turbodelta was a homologation model of the Group 4 rally car. This Delta 2.0 is not, but that doesn’t make it any less special…

**Exterior**
The Alfa Romeo Alfetta GTV Delta 2.0 distinguishes itself from other Alfetta GTVs with robust bumper sections made of black plastic and a matching rear spoiler. The fender flares and Ronal wheels are also part of the visual modifications, giving the Delta a naturally “beefier” appearance compared to other Alfettas. Painted in Rosso Alfa, the fiery DNA of the Gran Turismo Veloce shines through perfectly! Of course, the GTV badging on the C-pillars is a must. Later models lacked this feature, but these details, along with the chrome grille, make the Alfetta especially desirable among enthusiasts. Someone like you, perhaps?

Interior
The list of modifications gets even longer with the interior, which was specially developed for the Delta: bucket seats featuring original blue fabric upholstery with yellow and white stripes make the Alfetta cockpit a unique sight at first glance. Delta logos on the seatbacks confirm that this is no ordinary GTV. The instrument panel is split in two, with the tachometer being the only dial positioned behind the black 3-spoke steering wheel – a clear indication of where the focus lies when driving this GT Veloce. The wood trim on the dashboard adds a touch of class, while the red-printed gear shift pattern hints at pure performance. And for good reason…

Technology & Performance
The other major changes to the Delta 2.0 version lie under the hood: the 2.0-liter 4-cylinder engine features modified camshafts and carburetors (Solex 40 DDHE), along with a specially designed dual exhaust system from – who else – Autodelta. Together, these upgrades make our Alfa Alfetta GTV even more responsive than its non-Delta counterparts. And this is precisely what true Alfisti are looking for: the ultimate driving pleasure. Of course, the unique Giugiaro design ensures that the Rosso Alfa blood flows through the veins at full speed… Who will have the honor of taking this rare Italian gem home?

Best regards,
Team Prins.
